Guy C. Ho Endowed Scholarship

The Guy C. Ho Endowed Scholarship recognizes the national shortage of dental educators and the reality that tuition debt accrued in getting a dental degree often discourages students from pursuing a career in dental education. This scholarship is intended to provide an economic incentive to students who want to pursue teaching upon graduation. The candidate will need to demonstrate the following requirements:
• Financial need
• That he/she has substantially contributed to the cost of his/her education through work or savings
• Commitment to community service
• Effective communication skills
• A minimum overall GPA of 3.0

Applicants for this award are required to submit the following in their basic application:
• Two letters of recommendation from USC School of Dentistry faculty
• Transcript from dental school
• A short essay describing why they want to pursue a career in dental

Finalists will be interviewed by the Ho Family.
